There’s something about a textile that still looks like a human hand was involved, and Maresca Textiles does that beautifully.
Founded by designer Kathryn Maresca Faull, the collection blends hand-drawn marks with digital and screen-printing techniques to create fabrics and wallpapers that feel fresh, graphic, and just imperfect enough. The result is what Kathryn calls a “handmade-modern” point of view: designs that feel equally at home in a contemporary room or mixed into something much more traditional.
That sensibility goes all the way back to Kathryn’s time studying textiles at RISD, where silkscreening, embroidery, knitting, painting, and making by hand became central to the way she designs. After time in New York, she opened her studio in Savannah, drawing inspiration from Southern architecture, landscape, color, and history. Today, the studio is based in Chicago, adding yet another layer of influence to the collection.
What we love most is that nothing feels overly perfect or overly precious. The patterns have movement, character, and that slightly hand-touched quality that makes a room feel more interesting.
We pulled a few of our current Maresca wallpaper and fabric favorites below, the ones we’d happily build an entire room around.
