Introducing California Daze by artist Kirsten Sadlier — a playful tribute to the Golden State, where each sketch captures the spirit of California living. Having spent time living in Newport Beach, and continuing to return there with her family each summer, California has become something of a home away from home for Kirsten. It is also where her surfboard art began to take shape, inspired by the ocean, outdoor lifestyle, and relaxed creative energy of the coast.
Through her signature sketch-style, Kirsten reimagines iconic elements, from palm-lined coastlines to laid-back surf culture, with movement and effortless charm. In addition to her sketch series, Kirsten is known for her hand-painted surfboards and richly textured abstract works — making California Daze feel like a natural extension of the places, memories, and coastal rhythm that continue to inspire her.
